Guest Speaker Sandy Lindal, Scrappy Gal Quilt Company coming Oct 2, 2018.
Sandy has been a life-long needle worker, who found her passion with quilting and soon after learning to quilt she began teaching and designing quilt patterns. She is a long arm quilter who developed her skills into a thriving long-arm quilting business. Her trunk show, “Confessions of a Scrapoholic”, takes you through the light-hearted side of quilting with friends.
We are very excited to share some news with our fellow quilters…..we have Jane Burke coming to our area (Trinity United Church in Collingwood) to provide an afternoon presentation of her quilts called “200 Years of Quilts”.
Jane Burke’s quilt presentation is Sunday, November 18th beginning at 2:30. Her talk usually takes about 1 hour but she will be available for questions and she encourages everyone to walk around and touch and look at the quilts. She also said that anyone who has an antique quilt could bring it and she would do her best to tell that person about the quilt.
The presentation will be in the sanctuary of the church. There is lots of parking off Beech Street at the back of the church or on Maple Street at the front of the church.
The cost is only $5 and tickets will be available at the door. We are very excited to have her visit us and hope that as quilters you will want to take this opportunity and come to see her also!
